April 1, 2026. It is both amazing and insane to realize - almost exactly 25 years after the show someone from the FM station uploads almost impaccable recording that never saw the light of day before. Shared by Chuck Stanley. His comments: '"The World Needs A Hero" album release promotional tour. Our contest winners won tickets to an exclusive listening party then the band performed a 9-song unplugged set at the White Rabbit May 3, 2001. Afternoon DJ Kevin Vargas hosted the event. This and other radio moments during my time have been sitting on a hard drive for way too long.'
So the band did a TWNAH unplugged promo tour April-May 2001. I remember we were trying to trace these shows down but as you see it takes time for them to surface. Great setlist (albeit pretty stadard for that tour), great performance both vocally and technically. But the gem here is that Trust was performed partially in Spanish, which was done sometimes during SA shows but acoustically (I might be mistaken) never. Enormous thanks to Chuck for what originally I thought was an April 1 joke :)
